Volume 21, Issue 1

Hello and welcome to The Political Communication Report, the newsletter for the Political Communication Divisions of the International Communication Association (ICA) and the American Political Science Association (APSA)!

In this edition, please find:

(a) A discussion of several datasets available for political communication researchers, including the:

American National Election Studies (ANES), Jon Krosnick and Arthur Lupia
Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CCES), David Howell and Bojan Todosijevic
European Election Studies (EES), Claes de Vreese
Israel National Election Studies (INES), Michal Shamir
National Annenberg Election Survey (NAES), Ken Winneg

Thank you to the contributors who wrote up the details of their current release of data and described its relevance to political communication.

(b) Announcements with particular relevance to the field. Let me draw your attention to the announcement about our new blog, maintained by Maegan Stephens. This blog will allow members to post their announcements at any time.

Please join me in thanking Richard Stanton for his service to the divisions. Richard served as the previous newsletter editor and did an exemplary job updating the field about contemporary issues of interest to political communication researchers. Thank you so much, Richard!

It is my honor to work on the newsletter. I invite your feedback and suggestions.

Wishing you a wonderful and productive Winter and Spring,
