Welcome to the home of the National Communication Association’s Political Communication Division. In existence for over thirty-five years, the Political Communication Division is one of NCA’s oldest current academic divisions. The Division brings together hundreds of scholars interested in the many ways in which citizens, public officials, and media organizations argue about and represent electoral and institutional politics in campaigns, deliberations, mediated images, speeches, and more. Representing scholars from perspectives that include quantitative, qualitative, and rhetorical methods, the Political Communication Division both offers annual opportunities for scholars to present their research and gives out several prestigious awards for books, articles, dissertations, and conference papers.
